same here

Favorites in order:

Psycho

Strangers on a Train

Rear Window

The 39 Steps

The Birds

Shadow of a doubt

Haven’t seen in their entirety:

Vertigo

North by Northwest

Notorious

Man Who Knew Too Much (Remake)

Rope

Spellbound

I saw almost all of the The 39 Step but at the last 15 minutes the tv went out :frowning:

Did anyone know that QT’s favorite Hitch movie is Torn Curtain? I’ve always loved that movie, even if it has been constantly pissed upon by many uptight critics.

Whats torn curtain about?

My Hitch’s favourite list:

  1. Vertigo
  2. Psycho
  3. North by Northwest (I wish Jimmy Stewart had the role though)
  4. Rear Window
  5. Spellbound
  6. The Wrong Man
  7. The Man Who Knew Too Much (remake)
  8. Dial M For Murder
  9. Strangers on a Train
  10. Rope

I really WANT to see The 39 Steps, Notorious, Lady Vanishes and Shadow of a Doubt, I’ve seen nearly all others

I’ve seen Notorious (very good) and Shadow of a Doubt (pretty good too), but haven’t seen Lady Vanishes and The 39 Steps. I should try to get them.

39 steps and Lady Vanishes are definitly top 10 Hitch films, maybe even top 5 for me, Lady Vanishes is simple but so unbeleivably well made, timeless, both of em, see em asap!

It's about this American rocket scientist (Paul Newman) who has to go undercover in East Germany during the Cold War to try and obtain a secret mathematical formula from this famous German professor. It features what can arguably be regarded as one of the greatest murder scenes ever filmed IMHO.

Kewl

Has anyone in here seen Lifeboat? Well I bought this movie for like $10.00 a fairly cheap price for a good movie, I wouldn’t say it’s great but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. What I hated strangely enough was the Tallulah Bankhead character. After their ship is sunk by Germans they all go aboard this lifeboat and the movie begins. But I really found to be quite funny is how th Bankhead character isin’t even wet while the rest of the ensemble are gritty and wet. But that aside it really gave me a great idea after watching it. They rescue a german and a few crew members don’t trust him enough and there is this great deal of suspense and mystery generated. And it sort of reminded me of Night Of The Living Dead a bit, I know Romero is a huge Hitchcock fan and has been compared to him on several occassions. But any Hitchcock fans out there this is a great movie, despite its cheesy and abrupt ending.

That was an anti-semitic depiction of bankers and how they don’t suffer like the rest of us do during difficult moments.

I think my favorite Hitch film is Rear Window. I just love the whole concept of the movie and the direction. Its brilliant stuff.

What’s the first rule in being a doctor?

Never take a personal check.

Professor little old man!

liloldman, liloldman

I lmao when the birds crap all over him. I also love the scenes with Mel and Madeline Kahn. She was great.

How about the part where Nurse Diesel is whipping the shit out of the doctor…

notice that all of the inmates are SANE and all of the doctors/nurse are INSANE

The only thing better than High Anxiety is Space Balls - Yogurt "may the schwartz be with you"

and the dog’s name was Barf - Played by John Candy
