Help with finding Kung Fu film's title

#1

I need help in finding out what movie is the first fight in this video. This video is from the Wu-Tang Clan’s Old Skool Kung Fu movie if that helps knowing where this came from. I don’t know the name of the movie of the fight scene. Help is needed. Thanks.

Hmm, not sure. The old priest character looks like Lo Lieh, but I know that’s not Fists of the White Lotus and I’m pretty sure it’s not Executioners From Shaolin - both films where Lieh played a similar character. Looks less like a Shaw Bros. film as well, something independent from the early-eighties - probably shot in Taiwan; but that’s just a random guess.

[/quote]Hmmm, it’s been a while since I saw it, but it could be it. I have it sitting on my DVD shelf, maybe I’ll give a scan through it tonight and double check. I agree though, Born Invincible is awesome

I havent watched it in probably a year myself. I have it on DVD (Xenon version). But I’m almost positive thats it. If not, my bad.

If you check the other YouTube link I posted, you can def see thats Carter Wong and they use the same sound effect.

F’n yes. Thank you. Is it on dvd in region 1? Because I can’t find it.

#7

My copy is a Region 1 DVD from Xenon Pictures. But Im not sure if its still in print or not. Youll have to check that out.

^ Naw, I checked. Sucks. I’m thinking about buying a crappy version from ebay that says all region. But it’s full screen, and that’s why I think it’s crap.

Thanks for finding out the movie for me though.

Theres a funny thing about old kung fu films, I really enjoy watching them in the crappy looking, faded fullscreen dubbed versions but I also like watching the new remastered great looking versions with original audio too.

#10

I love the faded looking dubbed versions, but like widescreen.

But I love the old look too. I don’t really like remastered kung fu movies.

#11

But I gotta say the remastered Shaw Brothers Dragon Dynastys are really beautiful. Those films were so well made, its a shame to not see them in their true glory.

#12

^ Yeah, those are the only ones I got that are remastered. I love King Boxer.

I found this page on HK Flix…

comparing the available Pan-Media DVD release and Xenon’s out of print disk (the DVD Pete has)

checking the specs, it looks like it may be a bit shorter (83 min.) not sure about the accuracy however…

I’d be interested in knowing more about the Pan-Media dvd if you do buy it. it’s probably the one available on ebay.
