I think QT has definitely grown as a director since Dogs. The movies speak for themselves.
For instance, with Kill Bill he really didnt fill it with too much dialogue because its not really supposed to be a dialogue heavy kind of film. I was actually happy about that he switched gears. It was still great dialogue but not just about pop culture like everyone was expecting. But, that being said I think he mainly used Kill Bill to develop and challenge himself as a visual artist and he definitely kicked ass in that area.
Im really looking forward to his future projects, Esp Inglorious Bastards.
