I think the directing skills have improved. I mean RD was his first actual film, after My Best Friends Birthday which was ameteur. So of course they must have improved.
His directing skill at the time suited Dogs becuase it was very gritty, much like the film. Then we have Pulp Fiction, where it can be seen it has improved.
As for himself getting more mature, thats a load of shit. I think Dogs is a great example of a gritty crime take. Just becuase he uses stylitic violence in it dosnt mean that it’s immature. For his age he captured the perfect fee for the movie and it’s a pleasure to watch.
Jackie Browns not a more mature tarantino, it’s a diffrent Tarantino. For a different film. It’s the vibe of the film that change, not him.
