Halloween II (2009)

I just hope horror can re-gain it’s ground in the mainstream (in the U.S.) without remakes.

Oh, the movie being too good for the genre is definitely not what made me say that. For a start, as you’ve seen it, I’m totally clueless about the horror genre so I wouldn’t allow myself to make that kind of judgment. But now I’m kinda powerless and even though you didn’t convince me, I couldn’t try to convince you it’s not a horror movie myself. It’s kinda like IB not being a war movie to some extent.

The horror genre in my opinion has an infinite amount of niche areas, and I think Let the Right One In fits right in there. I definitely won’t say that you’re wrong or that I’m right, it’s all just based on personal context and the way we see things. From reading the script, I can see where you’re coming from on IB and I can understand where you’re coming from with Let The Right One In - but for me personally, I would definitely classify both films in their more commonly focused genres ;D

I think the best horror movies come from stories tjay can really happen. To me, if a monster is envolved in the movie, it just doesn’t do it for me.

Jaws is scary as hell. Cabin Fever is scary as hell.

Don’t get me wrong, Night of the Living Dead also scared the hell out of me, but what are the odds of a zombie attack?

…HOPEFULLY zero!

Then you should get preggers and watch Inside, haha :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought Cabin Fever was about a strange disease or something. It’s not very likely to happen is it? Haven’t seen the thing though.

So apparently Rob’s remaking “The Blob” now. Personally “The Blob” is a concept I never really enjoyed. Not really sure how it’s gonna work any better these days.

Rob Zombie To Remake THE BLOB Without ' a big red blobby thing' !!

Didn’t dude say he was never going to make a remake again while he was promoting the first Halloween. I guess it making huge bank changed his mind.

The only horror movie that ever scared me was The Blair Witch Project. Other than that all horror movies arent spooky at all.

Well, since I don’t feel particularly strong about either Blob movie - I can’t get too defensive about that; but I’d much rather see Zombie tackle more original work based on how much I liked The Devil’s Rejects.

So they’ve already begun work on Halloween 3(D) with plans to have it in theaters within less than a year. Rob Zombie isn’t going to be involved though so there’s hope for him yet.
