Grindhouse is considered a horror movie by the vast majority of people. And it performed on the same lines that most horror movies perform. Look at 28 Weeks Later…it still hasn’t surpassed the $20 mill mark at the box-office, and it is a sequel to a very popular movie. The only difference is that the budget for Grindhouse was far higher than your average horror movie. That’s what Harvey/QT/RR don’t realise. The market for this kind of movie is too small to spend $ 60 million on, irrespective of the popularity of the directors. I have been saying this for a while now. Enough of this split crap excuse that they are trying to feed us.
