But, if before you want to make your movie and say “I want to make an independent film.”, that IS bullshit. I think the only reason to go independent would d be to: 1. Limit your audience to only people you think will appreciate your movie on purpose (in Movie Nut’s case), 2. Piece of Shit Script, 3. No connections and no guts to try and get any, and 4. No money. You shouldn’t limit yourself to a certain audience, look at Garden State, the movie was mainstream, very artsy, not very limited but not independent on purpose and SELF CONCIOUS.
