Not the biggest fan of the 40’s or 50’s, but I love the 30’s. Especially in the early talkie days when the film-music would only appear in the opening and ending credits, thus giving plenty of focus on the actor’s performance without any music enhancement. In time, this has gone on to become a unique technicality that I admire. Aside from that, I just loved many of the genres (Horror,Gangster,War,Comedy)
And some of the Pre-Hayes Code movies are certainly a hoot.
