Favourite Stephen King Adaptation?

The Shining. What is better really? I mean come on, a great actor, a great director (No, the greatest director ever), great color, great feel, great story. It’s eye catching, and like alot of people say, people who hates horror movies still love the Shining. That is how big it is.

I’m not saying the other movies are bad. It’s just that there are 3 sections of King Adaptation movies:

The sucky ones: 1408, The Shining (t.v. remake), etc.

The great ones: Salem’s Lot, Carrie, IT, Pet Sematary, Cujo, The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, etc.

The legendary one: Kubrick’s The Shining

Look, who cares if King didn’t like Kub’s Shining. It was Kubrick’s film. Not King’s film. That is what we are talking about right? The best movie? We already seen how King’s T.V. version of the Shining went. It sucked. Kubrick made The Shining what it is today. Of course it was King’s story, but I don’t think The Shining would be as iconic as it is today without Kubrick and Jack. That might be a fact. No, that is a fact. Can you think of the Shining without thinking of the coloring of the carpet, the camera angles throughout the halls following Danny, Jack’s face, etc. All of that would be totally different if Kubrick didn’t do it. I don’t want to think about how the outcome would have looked.
