I’m also french and I only watch dubbed movies when I’m too wasted to care about it / watch a movie with friends who want to watch it dubbed.
Watching a dubbed movie is losing a lot of the emotions and acting that were originally caught by the cameras.
I remember when I was young, I learnt movies were dubbed when watching Goldeneye. And even at that age my reaction was “why the fuck would anyone do that to a movie?” (and also “it must be boring as hell to dub a movie” haha) Good times!
