Then for you, winning an oscar means the movie is more valuable than another movie that was nominated or even NOT nominated. Then do you agree that Raging Bull is a piece of shit and that Ordinary People is a masterpiece ? Do you agree that Hitchock, Kubrick and a lot of others are piece of shit ? Do you even agree that Scorsese suddently became a master when he won his oscar and that before he was just an stupid italian eating pasta ??
EDIT : btw Apocalypse Now was the Palme d’Or in Cannes in 1979, but that probably doesn’t mean anything to you since it’s a French festival and not the great american award academy. I guess Cannes only means something to you whern Tarantino wins, otherwise nobody cares about that festival, right ?
