How do you make ‘moving’ avatars?

I use a program called JASC Animation Shop to make my Gif. avatars. There are other programs out there that will also turn video into gif animations.
I use that one to… It kind of sucks at times.

Yes, it can blow sometimes. Losing a big project can turn a timid person into the Hulk. I usually trim the video down to a short clip with virtualDub and then load it to Jasc. Loading every single frame of a video to clipboard takes up a lot of resources.
Here’s one I made.
