Directors of fake trailers?

Seeing that QT’s script is 130 pages long, I wouldn’t be surprised that they’ll release them as two seperate volumes. 130 pages is usually the standard length for a full length movie. If they decide to go with one film QT would have to cut a lot of shit out, that’s for sure.

Wouldn’t that kinda ruin the whole “re-creating of their private grind house nights” thing? I don’t think they would do that. Dvd will probably have longer cuts of 'em.

Damnit, I really want to see both films back to back. Not 1 then 3 months later the next one. Oh fuckin well. Im there regardless just like with KB.

Obviously if they can they want to release them as originally planned. However, with RR’s part of Grind House not complete due to it being shut down “earlier” than expected it will be interesting to see how things turn out. Will they try and work with what they have or will they go back out and shoot what they didn’t get to finish? And if they do go back and shoot what is remaining will they push back the release of the entire film to accommodate that (or perhaps use this new footage for the DVD cut instead)? I definitely want to see it released together and not seperately.

guys, it’s not even august 2006, the movie is scheduled for a spring 2007 release. that’s plenty of time for a workhorse like robert

Yeah thats true, they have a lonnnnng time to get this thing done. If The Flash aka RR cant get his 75 minute film shot and edited by April 2007, thats pretty sad.

If it was something RR was financing on his own yeah. They still have to allow and fund the reshoots as well as get all the other “issues” addressed.

where do you have that information from? don’t you thing the two weinsteins give their top money makers free hand?

Seb - I’d have to message you offline about that. Yes, you are right under normal conditions they would.

Edgar Wright doing a fake trailer would be awesome, he’s a great director. If you haven’t, see Shaun of the Dead.

“Fake” trailers? Hmm… never heard of that phrase before. :-X

Fake trailers aka Trailers for films that dont exist, but theyve now said that they may actually make films out of 2 of the fake trailers if they make Grindhouse 2.

That is an awesome idea!

Only problem with QT is that everything is NEVERENDING with him ;D I wouldnt have it any other way, because it gives us great quality stuff…but sometimes I wish he would fucking focus a bit more…

Since the trailers are gonna have the wear and tear of a vintage 60’s/70’s trailer, I wonder if they’re all gonna be set in that era. But maybe it could be a hassle trying to get all those funky wardrobes together. Who Knows.

Just an idea :we know that one trailer is called THEY CALL HIM MACHETE - for me that looks like a homage to THEY CALL HER ONE EYE

Too lazy to check if anyone said this yet, but there’s some info on the Grind House forum and on wikipedia about the directors and the type of trailers they’re gonna have if you haven’t looked yet. Check it:

Between the two segments will be trailers advertising fake films. Tarantino has stated that they plan to shoot fake trailers for a blaxploitation movie, a kung-fu movie, a sexploitation movie and a spaghetti western trailer. The only one he has confirmed is the sexploitation, which will be for a film titled Cowgirls in Sweden. Also, in an interview with Danny Trejo, he said that he will be in a fake trailer for a movie called They Call Him Machete (possibly a parody of sorts on the character he played in Spy Kids of the same name). Eli Roth and Edgar Wright have been confirmed to direct trailers.
