Did NE-1 else HATE PF the first time watching it?

Well if you watch something everyday since youre four, I guess you can say you saw it when you were four, then? Unless…fuck it I’m thinkin too goddamn hard

yaeh i kinda find his story hard to believe. if i was 4 and i watched pulp fiction i would understand maybe 1% of the movie.

I was 12 when it came out, and I must have seen it for the first time about a year later on VHS. I kinda recall falling asleep the first time I saw it.  ;D

Yeah, it was hard to understand because I hadn’t ever seen a chronologically mixed movie like that before. I really liked some of those cinematographical elements back then already. Then a couple of years later I watched PF again, it made sense and the feeling I got from it somewhat resembled a religious enlightement (then again, I’ve never been spiritually enlightened, but that’s what I think I would feel like).

Right then and there I watched Dogs and loved it almost as much. I started finding out everything I possibly could about Quentin. And here I am some seven years later. He totally changed the way I watch and analyze movies.

Seb’s intro on the PF discussion says it all: “Talk about the best movie ever made!” As close to perfection as possible. I don’t think it’ll ever be topped, but I don’t care.

Oh, and seeing movies like Pulp or Dogs under teenage is just simply fucked up. I’d NEVER EVER allow that.

the first time i saw it i just didnt get it i was like this sucks but no its one of my favorites

Loved it since the first time I saw it.

2 options for not liking PF the first time you watch it:

  • to young to understand its greatness
  • you lack the interest in movies and dont know shit about anything else…

I liked it the first time…one of those movies that totally changed my way of watching movies…

Believe me or don’t, i speak the truth.

i totally agree

The first time I saw PF it became my favorite movie of all time. It still is.

the first time i watched pf it was 4 am and i was at a party, surrounded by drunk teens…and i loved it, even though there was people throwing up about every ten minutes. anyway it blew my mind, and made me realize that i still loved movies…

I got dragged to the cinema by my friend to see “a movie of this new guy who they say is cool, and apparently the story is told in a revolutionary way” (that’s what she said). So I thought I was gonna get bored beyond belief for two hours, and went there frowning.

From the second the movie started, I was :o

When we left the cinema I decided that had been the best movie I had ever seen (and probably the best I will ever see)

Watching this movie changed how I feel about the film industry forever (in a good way). I knew I had just seen the best film of all time (for me), and fuckin’ fell in love with it. I probably will never see a film as great as this ever again.

I was 10 when the movie came out but first time I watched PF I was 12 and I was “That’s it?? What’s the big deal with this movie?” ???

Second time I watched it -I don’t remember why I watched it again cause I hated PF- I understood it better and now I love that movie, it’s one of my favorites and I agree that watching PF has totally changed my way of watching movies…(Well, not only PF…any Tarantino movie :stuck_out_tongue:)

The Pulp Fiction has been shown many times in our television and I always saw small pieces of the film. I remembered the whole Mia and Vincent part, I remember Butch’s wife brushing her teeth for some 10 minutes, Butch shooting Vincent, Honey Bunny and Pumpkin, Jimmy part and Marvin and that was all. I knew that was a great movie, but I didn’t have chance to see it. When I finally got Internet I downloaded it and saw that in high-quality in english (that was before some months). Those episodes I remember I saw as a child and with translation, but now… a masterpiece! I just love it, and I’ve always liked Tarantino works, except for Reservoir Dogs - when I was 10 I just went to sleep, because it seemed boring (I missed the Stuck In The Middle With You scene!!!).

The first time I saw PF was when I was eight, and when your that young and yuor watching a movie like that you think"aw this is stupid" and change the channel to some cartoon. But my dad rented it and RD a couple of years ago right after we got a DVD player and I watched 'em and thought they were great, I guess it’s depends on how old and mature you are, as far as whether or not you’ll like any of QT’s films.

the first time I saw pulp the only thing i remember is that i loved it. and thats what i do up till now

I still have a problem with the third story, because it’s too comedic and takes away from the tension too much
