i might add that death proof is a threat i’m sure. i’m also sure that it will be one of my favorite film this year but come on it’s not like it was QT’s magnum opus. it was not intended to be a masterpiece or a very ambitious film in the first place. it was more like a recreative piece between kill Bill and Inglorious bastard… he even said it in an itw: “it’s almost as if it doesn’t count”. So let’s not cry a river because the film didn’t win the palme d’or… it was in official competition, had a great exposure, great feedbacks and was one of the main event of the festival… that’s plenty already!
