Man, Richard Liberty was so underrated, he just nailed the role as Dr. Logan. The best thing about his character is his inadvertent approach, in his mind he is as sane as any other human being, but on the peripheral side (which we see) he is completely out of his mind. What’s funny is that in the original unproduced script, he was even crazier. I remember reading the last sequence, where the guerilla fighters wage an assault against the main facility, Dr. Logan goes berserk after he is shot in the shoulder. He starts reciting bible passages and even watches an innocent victim being eaten alive without helping. That George Romero sure has quite an imagination.
