Janz verjessen: hab hier schon seit Ewigkeiten “H.R. Giger´s Film Design” im Regal stehen. Sehr schöner englischer Band mit tollem (und äusserst reichhaltigem) Bildmaterial und interessanten Darlegungen und Anekdoten zu den verschiedenen Produktionen. Interessant fand ich hier vor allem die Entwürfe für DUNE und BATMAN sowie die Arbeiten, die letztlich nie filmische Realität wurden, wie THE TOURIST oder DEAD STAR. Besonders hervorzuheben natürlich auch das Debakel bei der Umsetzung von SPECIES, bei dessen Beschreibung Gigers Verbitterung richtig spürbar ist.
