I’d rather order a classic film online. :stuck_out_tongue:

#3

I didn’t much care for the first one.

#4

I’m a huge fan of everything Sacha Baron Cohen does, and this time he is portraying a gay AUSTRIAN fashionista, I simply can’t wait for the outrageousness that will be Brüno.

Brüno interview:

What about Burt Reynolds - Keep him is ze Ghetto or “Train to Auschwitz”?

#5

I wasn’t particularly excited about this until the other night I went ot the movies and saw the trailer.

It looks hilarious!! I just really hope all the funniest parts weren’t used for the trailer and the rest is crap, god I hate when that happens.

#6

Sod this, I can’t wait for him in the Sherlock Holmes comedy :stuck_out_tongue:

#7

Laughed a little, was completely grossed out by most scenes. Don’t see it - it’s nothing like Borat. I thought it was going to be funnier, instead you just see a bunch of wangs coming straight at you. What the fuck was that all about! This should be an NC-17 picture. I mean There Will Be Blood got a fucking R rating for showing a little bit of blood in the very end! I’m fucking confused. Bruno is soft core porn - and not the good kind. :stuck_out_tongue:

#8

Really guys, is anybody gonna watch it?

#9

I did, and I wish to god I hadn’t.

The overall message was support these people. It’s a message movie. I hate that.

What do you mean, “These people”?

#11

So if I hated Borat I’ll hate this one even more?

#12

It’s basically the same, except for a naive outlandish racist we get a uber-gay “fabulous” ignorant dude.

This was definately NOT a message movie. It was just using a touchy subject for creating comedy, like Cohen always does.

If you have an open mind, and a sense of humour, are confident in your sexuality and not grossed out by sexual content you should see one of the funniest movies of recent years. I laughed A LOT.

I disagree. Borat had some charm to it, this one was just banal. It felt more like three TV episodes crunched into one. If you want to go see a great comedy watch The Hangover. That’s a great comedy with a great story about a group of buddies who are brought together by Vegas. Bruno has no redeeming qualities to it.

And IT IS a message movie. did you not hear the lyrics to the songs in the end? Elton John is playing the piano for Christ sake!

You thought The Hangover was about Vegas bringing guys together? It’s more or less a parody of white guys who think that going to Vegas with the top down turns them into pimps. But it doesn’t, it just makes them idiots and losers.

And did you honetly take that end thing seriously? This movie was a satire of many things: homophobia, European art/fashion freaks, and celebrities. That end was making fun of every celebrity who ever thought writing a song and making a video of them recording that song would change the world. This movie’s message isn’t heavy-handed, there’s simply more to it than Borat had and it was just as funny. And the fact that you thought the content was gross is because you’re a middle age actress from the 1940s stuck inside the body of a 20 year old man.

Lighten up.

I’m all for female nudity, but once one guy puts a bunch of weiners in a film the next guy will want to do the same thing! and that can’t happen! Sooner or later we’re going to be like Europe where full frontal nudity is common in films. Look at Quentin or Marty Scorsese, these guys CAN make great films without doing shit like that.

I say leave the gay soft core porn out of movies and make something that is worthwhile and funny.

The Hangover is about friendship. Watch the movie again. The film has heart.

I’ve seen the film four times, I liked it, but your analysis of it is lame.

And you’re saying this because you’re insecure about male nudity? Judd Apatow has been putting dicks in his films for the past few years now. He even said it’s his goal to have a dick in everyone of his movies from now on.

Unfortunately, homophobes hold double standards. Of course its okay if there’s female nudity, that’s just great! They don’t have feelings and you like looking at them, so why not?! RIGHT?

But gays naked? EW! GROSS! LEAVE THAT FOR THE CLOSET, YOU FILTHY FAGGOTS!

You’re one of the biggest tools I’ve ever encountered.

Exactly now you understand me!

And FYI, I’ve never seen a single Judd Apatow film.

I mean I laughed at some parts of the film, just have mixed feelings. This might change cinema, just like MASH changed it with the use of cuss words. But I’m not for extreme nudity in films.

It’s funny because if I didn’t know any better…I’d say you were homosexual. In fact, the first time I saw your posts I thought you were a girl.

#20

Right. I don’t like to pay money to watch dicks on a giant screen, and that makes me a faggot. Good one.
