Man Jeuk (Sparrow) - Johnnie To 8,5/10.
This is the first time I’ve seen a J. To film without (practically) any physical violence. It relies on characters and humour about the same way “The Mission” did, and adds a kind of a sweet fairy tale about pick-pocketing brothers who help out a girl. This is as light-footed and sweet as To will get, I assume. Almost a nine, but as charming as it is, it kinda lacks depth and I would need more memorable/moving/exciting scenes for me to consider it any better. A great addition to the To canon, anyhow.
