There are tons to list as far as great or impressionable films. Suspiria, The Beyond, Deep Red, Hellraiser, Evil Dead, Dead Alive, Bad Taste… umm, how about Bloodsucking Freaks? ;D Nah, not really one I would recommend RQR runs out to rent 
Glad to hear you’re open minded however RQR, a lot of younger viewers go into the film after seeing the second and third films in the series either expecting it to be less serious or less violent. It is what it is, and although it does have it’s humorous moments it was definitely the most “horror” of the series.
