I advise all the frenchs here to read the new issue of Studio. Laurent and Kruger separately share details about their experience of the shooting, how they got the part, how was it like to work with QT, their first and last scene, etc… Cool stuff, especially the one with Laurent where she explains some funny shit that happened on set.

I just saw Paris…Melanie Laurent is perfect. She’s going to shine in this role, I can feel it, and as the one who comes closest to the main character it’s very comforting to know that she’s probably the best cast of all the actors. That’s the impression I get anyway from the stills, her natural beauty and her talent that can really be seen in the film Paris. Check it out if you can, it’s actually a really good movie.
Fassbender is already there, hehe. His other film at Cannes has ben screened today and he was at the press conference. A likeable dude.

ha, a little bit disappointed, coz I loved this narrator thing. It seems like they didn’t do it. It might be another reason to why he extended some scenes to introduce characters.

Could have just a mistake in the press kit, however. As full as it is, I don’t see Cloris Leachman listed either. Maybe her scene with Donny was cut for timing in the end?
That would suck, Donowitz is useless whithout that scene. Nah the thing must be incomplete.

He is showing his son Lee the Nazi bashing bat, pictures of his comrades (including Aldo) and tells some of The Basterds story to him. Lee listens and out of the corner of his eye notices the news on TV which shows soldiers in body bags. He then goes to his room, and scribbles “Coming Home In A Body Bag” down in his notebook ala Pony Boy in The Outsiders. Fade to Black.
