An easy one: “I’ll turn this place into the fucking Wild Bunch.”

Quentin Tarantino wrote the film as a favor for Robert Kurtzman, who provided the special make up effects for Reservoir Dogs. He was influenced by the 1975 horror/action film Race with the Devil starring Peter Fonda when writing the script, and certain dialogue and plot elements are similar in both films.

The film has many references to the John Carpenter film Assault on Precinct 13.

…What is similar, i haven’t seen either.

the asian kid has a black shirt with a white text saying Precint 13 so theres another reference

Besides that. ::slight_smile:

p.s. Hes a fuckin Jap!

I think QT said El Rey the place Seth and Ritchie are going to in Mexico is from The Getaway, another Sam Peckinpah film.

The old manager (AHH WHATTAYA WANT?!) in the hotel reminded me of the same kind of old guys in Sergio Leone’s Spaghetti Westerns. He even has that weird dubbed voice in that one part.
