Is Jules dead?

I’m watching Pulp Fiction on Sky Movies at the moment.

Butch is able to kill Vincent at his apartment because Jules is not there to partner him. Had Jules and Vincent gone together, it’s safe to assume Butch would have been toast.

We can therefore also safely assume Jules stuck to his plan of quitting. But what I’ve always wondered is does Marcellus allow Jules to simply walk away from the business (we know Marcellus wasn’t able to change his mind)?

Maybe Jules died in the Two Pines wedding chapel…

He shouldn’t be dead, I mean, why should he be? :stuck_out_tongue: Considering the often mentioned theme of “redemption” you’d think Jules got away with it because he did quit his job, whereas Vincent continued, and died accordingly.
