The scoreboard of American critics top 10 list has been updated again, and Kill Bill has finally broken the top 10 mark.

Thats great!!!

I was actually worried (before its critical praise that is) that due to what it was, the only people appreciating it would be us fans.

Also on there is City of God, my 2nd favorite movie of the year, all of you must go see.

Woohoo! Go Kill Bill! I doubt it’ll be nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars, but it should at least be nominated for Best Original Screenplay.

Im glad to hear that. Very cool.

I was kinda dissapointed Ebert and Roeper didnt choose Vol 1 for their Top 10 Best movies of 2003 lists. They seemed to really like it alot when it was released.

They seem to always pick dramas as the Top films. So what if Vol 1 is a genre film? its still a masterpiece of filmmaking that deserves props!

Entertainment Weekly put Kill Bill at #8 and #10 on their two Best Movie lists. So they recognize that KB is one of the year’s best movies, if not the best.

if you go to Eberts site, its on his honorable mentions, and on Roepers site, its #15

more comprehensive than the list I posted before

“Very Good”

neither Ebert or Roeper put Kill Bill on their top 10 lists on Sunday’s show…they’re fucking insane!

yeah, but Ebert and Roeper both had in their honorable mentions on a website (I can't remember what)

so if it went by the critics’ choices, the best picture nominees would be:

lost in translation

the return of the king

american slendor

mystic river

finding nemo

Thanks for the information.

Maybe I´m wrong, but I think, this would fit in the topic made by Scarface some days ago (you find this only some topics down…):

The Kill Bill awards and nominations topic

Sure it´s no award but maybe we could open Scarface topic for post like yours.

In this way we can be sure, that someone who wanna know something about this things, find all the information in one topic.

Is this possible ????

Other opinions?

I thing, this would be good to overview every ones posts…

Ebert had it under Jury Prize, which is higher than Honorary mentions (which was only awarded to Cinemania)

Jury Prize

“Kill Bill: Vol. 1” is Quentin Tarantino in virtuoso mode, giving us a martial-arts picture that is heavy on storytelling, light on story. The film is all kinetic energy, visual conceit, production design, and performances focused to a razor’s edge but with only the most rudimentary motivation or character development. It is a tribute to Uma Thurman and the other cast members that they are able to bring presence and substance to characters who have been written with rubber stamps.

Roeper

15. “Kill Bill, Vol. 1”: From the opening scenes of a blood-soaked bride gasping for breath to the final showdown between dueling ninja goddesses, nearly every frame of “Kill Bill, Vol. 1” is filled with violence – but it’s comic book stuff. This is a stylized tribute to every drive-in kung-fu movie ever made, and it’s all non-stop action peppered with splashes of dark humor, with Tarantino careening from black-and-white sequences to an extended anime section to his trademark doses of wry banter laced with pop culture references. I can’t wait until “Vol. 2” splatters onto screens in February.

Hi Joe, what do you thing about my post, to post this all in Scarface topic about nominations?

wow, Roeper, the guy who didn’t like the first LOTR, has the 3rd one at #14 on his list, above Kill Bill! that’s great, I loved The Return of the King.
Hi Joe, what do you thing about my post, to post this all in Scarface topic about nominations?
you can if you want, just copy paste

Hey! I don´t wanna mess with you (I like your posts in Good & Bad ).

I only think, that it is important not to open to much topics, which are similar and Scarface made a good one. So it would be easier to find all information in one topic…

See many people only read the topics named at the first site, so maybe next week Scarface nomination topic will be at page (site?) 2 and then probably 1 million people will open topics with the same theme. So it thought, it will be better to post stuff like this in one topic…
