Charlie Rose Show - Quentin Tarantino

Did anybody see it? I thought it was an awesome show. Kill Bill was the main topic but they also talked about his influences, he and Uma’s relationship, his style of writing and talked a bit about Inglorious Bastards.

I would have liked to have known about it beforehand. I loved the Charlie Rose interview on the Pulp Fiction DVD and have been waiting forever for him to appear on the show again. I’ve been visiting Rose’s website every week to find out when he’ll be on. I can’t believe I missed it.

Luckily, they have encores and it’ll be on again today at 1:30pm EST. Good thing I didn’t read this post after the encore.

Awesome show. I just barely caught it 5 minutes after it started. So in a rush, I pressed RECORD on my VCR. After its over, I rewind the tape and like a total dumbass I forgot to set my VCR to Channel 2. So I have an hour of fucking NEWS on the tape instead of QT talking with Chucky Rose. Nice huh?

I hope itll be on again today at 11 or 12 noon so I can retape it.

Up until this interview I had never heard QT talk about Inglorious Bastards himself live. I was very happy to hear that, it probably will be his next project after all. He said its the best thing he’s written thus far. Thats great to hear.

He said he was talking to Ellenor Coppola (Francis’ wife) and she asked him what he was gonna do next. He said he didnt want to climb another Mt Everest right after he already climbed one with Kill Bill. So he wanted to do something smaller for his next one. Her reply was: You should climb another Mt Everest (Inglorious Bastards), these are the days when you can do it, youre young so do it while you can…

Pretty awesome advice

you can hear the entire show here: Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

does anyone know wich channel airs this show in new york? I’ve never heard of pbs…

PBS is channel 13 in NY. It was that way when I didn’t have cable, and lo and behold, Cablevision kept it on 13.

I’m having a bit of a problem with that file… can someone plz tell what program do I need to be able to listen to that interview?

Yeah, unfortunately you need shitty-ass Real Player to hear it.
