Series 2 looks awesome.....im not thrilled with the Bride figure from either series (they both look kinda wierd to me) but Bill looks cool....and the Elle and Pai Mei would be kick-ass!

That's right. I've got the one from serie 1, and she looks pretty weird too... Don't know why...

That Oren figure is genuine, but was never put into production because it seemingly appears Liu never signed her approval of it. Why that website is advertising it, well someone appears to be lazy. Toy websites usually adevertise lines months in advance before they go on sale. It seems that this particular website didnt bother to change the lineup. Like with most things that go on sale, everything can be subject to change.

Legally binding contracts relating to likeness rights of movie merchandise care what Lucy Liu thinks. Toys are big business, so as long as money is to be made, then people will care about Toys and likeness rights. Some actors wont even give their likeness to toys because they think its "chump change" or "cashing in". This is pretty much the reason Clive Owen didnt sign his likeness over to NECA for a Dwight figure for the Sin City line.

T.Dillon we know some of these minor issues by actors may be incredibly annoying but getting angry on this forum isnt going to do anything about it. Just calm it down a lil bit in future mate ;)

On a different note pics have been just released from the current San Diego Comic Con, where Toy Companies have many of their upcoming figures on display. Here are the NECA Kill Bill ones, including a first look at Elle. No Bride unfortunately.

I agree. Those are awesome. I'm definitely getting Pai Mei and Bill. I'm surprised that Bill's Hanzo sword has that demon on it. That version was originally supposed to be in the film but then someone stole it and it had to be replaced with a sword without a demon on it. These must have been designed before the film was completed. I wonder who has Bill's original Hanzo sword. You know that's gotta be worth something. I'd buy it.

Anyway, what's your ideal Series 3 (I hope there will be one)? Here's mine in no order:
(There seems to be only 4 per series, so pick your top 4)

Nurse Elle (with poisin and cell phone)
Budd (with Hanzo sword, cowboy hat, and shot gun)
Esteban Vihaio
Training Bride (with rice bowl and that board she has to break)

I hope they release a bride that isn't beat up with blood all over her. The new one is retarded. I want a clean one. Unless they release a hospital Bride which would be pretty cool.

If they do a third series. I'd like to see them do Budd, Hattori Hanzo, Vernita, and Bea in leather coat and skirt w/ .45 and Hanzo sword on back.

Figures based on movie characters hardly ever look 100% identical to the face of the actor portraying them. Ive been collecting movie figures for some time, and Kill Bill is about as good as it gets. McF did pretty well with their Matrix line but thats about the extent. They can hardly ever get a dead on likeness to satisfy everyone. As was the case with the Bride figure in series 1, some people can see the likeness of the actor and are happy with it, but others cant see it at all. It all depends. I think thsoe figures for Series 2 are pretty good so far. But that can change though, sometimes the faces on the protype figures look really good but when it comes to the actual run they stuff it up some what.

Series 2 - The Brides sculpt looks pretty shoddy - Bill & Pai & Elle I will definitely pick up.  I can't believe it has taken THIS LONG - series 3 will come out in 2008.  That's some bullshit.

They should be working on a Jackie Brown & Pulp Fiction line - that shite would sell like hotcakes.  I'd even love to see Clooney & QT in From Dusk Till Dawn figures.

I think a broad range of Pulp fiction, or even a Resevoir dogs set would definitley be cool....but 2008 seems a crazy amount of time to get out series three of KB...maybye its all tied up in the  formal legalities and stuff, but thats a long time to wait

There wont be a series 3 as far as i know. Traditionally they only do two sets of figures for movies like these and NECA have never said they are going to do a third series. Aslo with little choices for interesting and dynamic characters for a series 3 i doubt they will do it. Though it would have been good to see a Bud and Hattori Hanzo.

Apparently they are out in certain places in the US. Will be coming out all over the world soon. Also apparently - The factory forgot to pack Bill in with the cases. So some of the early cases might not have the Bill figure.
