i cant believe all this fpkk shit, every time I ask those who really know it's a rumor, and they tried to kill it. i think somebody's trying to get attention or someone is a bit pissed QT isn't really doing this even though maybe sometime he expressed an interest in it or something....

I'd love to see him do a road movie. That would be incredible.

A real old school spaghetti-western with that Italian feel to it. I hate these new westerns, they're so clean looking. I mean look at Once Upon A Time In The West, Leone did his research and knew a lot about music. If anything George Lucas learned how to place music for his Star Wars films because of these films.

Wha...oh yeah. Western.

Maybe he'll remake Bambi into a vengence film with Bambi and Thumper traveling around the countryside brutally killing all the hunters that killed his mom.  "You killed my mother you mother f89ckers"

I heard that he was thinking about doing a spaghetti western style film about slavery in America.  A specific historical figure, but I can`t remember the name

John Brown..... He said that would be much later in his career, when he would be old enough to play the part of the 50-something year-old Brown.

The man has said that this is basically a spaghetti western with WWII iconography so maybe this is his spaghetti western and then a straight western (FORTY LASHES!) might follow later. We all know how found he is of putting together genres so it really wouldn't surprise me.

I'd also like to think he'll do something in the vein of His Girl Friday, I mean he talks about it enough, but if there's anything he could really do fuckin' well is that kind of fast talkin' Howard Hawk's style picture.

i remember him mentioning a genre he'd like to create or work in or something like that called the Southern, is that the John Brown picture he was talking about starring in or are they totally unrelated.

this would be even less interesting than the Vega Brothers ;D

speaking of brothers i read back when vol 1 was released that he started writing a film about two brothers who forget to wake up for their father's funeral

Come to think about it, this really is a tough question. I mean QT has mentioned a handful of film ideas throughout the years, but it always seemed like his career was building up for his ultimate masterpiece - Inglourious Basterds. Whilst it is true that this film will make or break him, we QT fans will always look forward to what he will work on next. Personally, if IB is a disaster (and that is a very big IF) I will either probably lose most of my interest in film OR invest a lot more of my time with the directors of old. There are a lot of books I still need to read about John Ford, Sergio Leone and Stanley Kubrick. So for me personally, I'm so into IB right now that I can't even fathom what he will do next.

That being said, as some of you have already mentioned, I'd love for him to do an out-and-out Western. No genre mixing, just a 100% pure western. Of course, he would do it in his own style like P.T Anderson did There Will Be Blood and The Coen's did No Country For Old Men. Failing that, if IB is a hit, I wouldn't mind seeing another part to his WWII epic, perhaps he can make a trilogy out of it afterall. Otherwise, a character piece in the vein of say There Will Be Blood or The Shawshank Redemption would be good. It will be interesting to see if he changes his overall style like he did from Kill Bill onwards.

I'd like to see him go back and do a smaller project after IB, like how he did Death Proof between Kill Bill and Inglourious Basterds. But a less bombastic genre buster with a smaller budget. I'm not one of those people that want to see him do PF 2 or RD 2 or a spinoff or prequel or anything like that but a project where his voice and his style overpowers the genre he's working within.

lol but then again, I'd like to see him do a biopic, especially on someone who he's emotionally invested in. I think that's why I liked the sound of that John Brown project.

Then again, he could do a porno or film grass grow and I'd still be first in line to see it.

Yeah, I'd love to see him do a small-scale film next... There's absolutely no reason he should burn himself out trying to crank out massive hit after massive hit.  I'd like to see another adaptation like JB.  It'd be sweet.

Any other Elmore Leonard books come to mind? He's also mentioned doing a more faithful Less Than Zero adaption. I think it'd be cool if he didn't do that.

Just finished readin Pagan Babies for the third time and I think that would be an interesting adaption coming from Quentin's POV. As well as The Hot Kid, but that would be another period piece and to similar to Public Enemies to come out any time soon.

If not the Hot Kid (read it, pretty cool) then Up In Honey's Room. It could be his spy movie in lew of Casino Royale.

I didn't even think of that. That's a good one, very interesting to see him tackle something like that.

Go to Wiki and search IG and read it all, there is a hint of some "Kung Fu" movie he was working on.

OK I was reading my local paper yesterday and Liz Smith (Rumor Queen) stated that Quentin Tarantino is going to be making a film called WEEKEND with Sharon Stone and Jennifer Beals after Basterds. What the HELL?!!

Also is this a remake of Godard's film? I dont know. Who comes up with this stuff?

Just the thought of QT doing a remake is a strange notion. Although him putting Jennifer Beals in one of his flicks isn't a completely unwelcome notion. She's always seemed to me like an actress that could really do his dialogue well, not just say it but sing it as QT has been known to say.
