Tarantino hot to remake "Faster Pussy Cat! Kill! Kill!"

According to Liz Smith gossip queen, Tarantino wants to remake the 1965 Russ Meyer campy soft-porn classic Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (Three tough busty chicks travel through the desert, stirring up trouble and testosterone along the way.)

Tarantino wants his version to be even raunchier. His first casting choices are Kim Kardashian, Eva Mendes and Britney Spears.

Britney Spears!!! please say this is only a rumor. I like the idea of remake, but the casting needs serious rethinking.

I doubt there is any truth to this.

It could be fun, but i doubt it will ever happen. By the way, how on earth can any one call that movie soft-porn? I wouldn’t even call it erotic.

yeah and we all know how reliable Liz Smith is when it comes to gossip and how much QT likes to talk out his ass when it comes to stuff like this. He probably just wants to hop in bed with all them and have a foursome.

Tarantino wants to make everything. Most of the time, the press take Tarantino’s passing comments about how cool it would be to do this or that, way too literally.

But even if that were going to happen… one thing I will say is, “shouldn’t he be getting women with bigger breasts?” We’re talking about Russ Meyer here. I mean, Kim Kardashian and Eva Mendes I guess have big breasts by Hollywood standard, but not be Russ Meyer standard.

This is so fucking stupid, haha. First Lindsay Lohan, and now that nutcase Britney Spears. Who’s next, Paris Hilton?

He already did his Faster Pussycat kill kill homage with Kim, Zoe and Abby. If QT ever cast Britney Spears in a film, I think that would be the day I stop being a QT fan.

This better be bullshit.

That’s a bold statement.

Lindsay Lohan I could probably stand, but not Britney.

Where’s the source to this rumor?

I think the last thing QT wants to make is another exploitation feature, I’m getting pretty sick of them.

What? Britney is so talanted!!

j/k :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway QT wants to do this, QT wants to do that… Bullshit! Can’t he just stop WANTING to do something and finally DO something? >:(

If QT even mentioned PCD, I’d kill myself. ;D

I just saw this reported on the TV news and does seem to have some truth behind it. QT is making some weird choices these days so I have no problem believing this. I bet the whole film will focus on each and every girls feet.

The only mention of Britney makes this only a rumor, ahah, I hope he’d never think of her for a role…

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if QT cast Britney in one of his movies. I think he has come to a point where his ego is so high that he believes he could directing any one into giving a good performance on screen.

Can you imagine the field day the critics would have if Britney is cast in a movie right now? Everybody just loves to take the piss out of her nowadays. Tarantino’s career would be doomed.

QT should just forget about everything and work on the Inglorious Bastards script period. Id rather wait 10 years for that than see him do a Faster Pussycat remake (if this is even true).

IB is the film that could make or break him for definite. On another site, someone said that QT didn’t want his filmography to be like other directors’ where you can see a noticeable dip in quality during a certain period. That QT wanted his catalogue to be filled with great films. But how with Death Proof, he has fucked all that up. Now, that’s very interesting to me. I know QT said that. When he was younger, he would study people filmographies. He could say where a director fell off, where they made some fucked up decisions. He would take it upon him to try and tell these very filmmakers about it. At one stage, he pretended he was writing for a magazine and got interviews with all these filmmakers he loved, like Brian De Palma. QT was always up himself a bit, but it’s astonishing how he could talk to his idols and tell them how it is. In fact, when he met Travolta for Pulp Fiction, Travolta declined. He didn’t like some of the themes in the film. QT got into QT-serious mode, and layed out Travolta’s filmography in front of him. Telling him things like “In the 80’s you did this film, when you should have actually done this film”. And he went through the whole of Travolta’s career telling him exactly what mistakes he made and what he should have done instead. He told him how Pulp Fiction could rectify that. How it would “make” him again. Astonished at just what had taken place, Travolta (despite being kicked in the nuts figuratively), changed his mind, respected QT’s straight up honesty and agreed to do Pulp Fiction. And look what happened!!

So with the critical shots taken at him, where a whole lotta people made their dislike for Death Proof known (and shown by the Box Office figures somewhat), I wonder if that has got to QT a bit? Like wheether it has made him think that he may be losing his way a bit. That he shouldn’t just say yes to an idea his best friend fed into him.

And so with Inglorious Bastards, he’s gotta work much harder than what he did for Kill Bill. He has to put right the wrong that Death Proof did to him. If he is to be liked by the masses again (and right now, the temperature based on the different forums I visit, is that QT has fallen off with Volume 2 and DP being disappointing), he has to re-acquire that sense he has of what will entertain the majority. He had it with RD and PF, but he has to make a compromise somewhere. Death Proof was Quentin Tarantino at his most self-indulgent. Can he really afford to be like this with Inglorious Bastards. It’s ok to say “well us fans will love it”, but if wants his film to get critical acclaim, he has got to go back to his roots. He can’t afford to make a film solely for his proper fanbase.

What’s interesting is, Kill Bill brought a whole other fanbase to him. Death Proof on the other hand really seperated the “proper” fans from the “pseudo fans”. So depending on how IB turns out, it will either cement his reputation in the hall of fame of directors, or he will lose respect and be seen as just another director who showed promise at first but fell off.

For some reason, and I know I musn’t think this just yet, but Inglorious Bastards seems to me to be his “true” masterpiece. Like how you remember a director for one stand out film. Right now, the greatest film I have ever seen is Pulp Fiction. Something just tells me “not for long…”

I always think back to when QT was talking to Charlie Rose and they were discussing when directors start to lose their shit. Its all about when they stop caring. Thats the main word: CARING. When QT stops caring about making the best films ever and being the best in his field, thats when he should quit. I hope hes not at that point yet.

I do think that Death Proof was not really from QTs own heart. He wrote it and he directed it but he probably wouldnt have never made it if Bobbo hadnt rushed into his house and said: "LETS MAKE SOME MOOBYS!!"

Bastards will def be back to the really serious stuff from QTs own heart. Its not gonna be some funky side project he does cuz Bobert showed him some CGI’d Machete footage with scratches and cool titles.

God I hope this is nothing more than QT talking shit. I will watch anything he makes, but god damn! If QT has to make another lightweight/exploitation film than I wish he would just make another gangster flick. Something lean and tight like True Romance. No samurais or zombies. Just a couple of tought guys and hot chicks hurting each other.
