Qt 007?

Can you imagine QT directing a Bond film, man it would kick ass, revive the series for good, with cult approach. Too bad he didn’t get the job, can’t see why he’s interested though.

For those who don’t know or understand, Quentin had a meeting with the producers of MGM discussing various aspects of the next bond film. It was his idea too base the film on 1967 original film “Casino Royal”, the studio took his advice but decided to go with a “safer” choice of direction. Martin Campbell as you all probably know.

The 1967 film was basically a joke. There was one in 1954 for US television with Barry Nelson as “Card Sense Jimmy Bond” which was more serious, but still pretty gay. And it was also the first Bond film ever. The 1967 one has almost nothing to do with Bond.

The new film is definitely coming from the novel and it will be a far better than both of those films combined.

I think we went trough all this in detail in some of the QT-Bond topics

I think QT doing a bond movie would be very stupid unless its like a Modesty Blaise I would love to see something like that.

I think QT should just stick to Inglorious Bastards…

A QT Bond film would kick ass.

I might like to see a “Bond-style” film by QT; but otherwise I think he might throw the series off.

He would probably cast Sam Jackson as Bond. “Shaken not stirred, nigga!”

HAHA!

007 is introduced to the main villain of the film:

(we can only see his hands covered in rings and the huge gold chain around his neck)

"What up B (cue suspenseful music)…I am LIL’ PLAYA…(HOLLAAAA)

QT was originally going to a Bond film after Pulp Fiction, but it didn’t happen. Jackie Brown kicks ass anyway.

As much as I’d like him to do a Bond film, I don’t think it would be very fitting. Also, Martin Campbell did a great fucking job (yet again), as did Daniel Craig and everyone else involved in the movie. It was absolutely brilliant, and will no doubt be added to my DVD collection when it’s released.

I don’t think he would, but it doesn’t matter. Ain’t ever gonna happen.

Technically QT can’t direct a movie of a major studio anyway, cause he’s not a member of the Directors’ Guild or whatever.

Just forget a QT 007 film. Thats history. What he SHOULD do is an original QT spy film. Now THAT would rock because QT loves the genre and he definitely would write it to showcase the best aspects of that genre. I really hope he does this for real someday. Sometime after he does Bastards. ÃŽ

Ahhhh…I’ve heard about this. Me and a friend of mine got into a long hour conversation about it. I think you make so much money a year just to be in it. I know that George Lucas, Steven Spielburg, and George Romero are part of it. …but that’s ALL I know about it.

How can QT not be in it? That’s beyond me.

Am I the only one that hates this 007 bullshit?IMO its stupid.

Meh, I used to watch it just to be in the same room with my Dad.

I wouldn’t mind that. An original spy film would be kick ass.

thats what i would love to see, QT writing and directing an original spy film complete with rip snorting dialougeand a bit of the old ultra violence just to spice up the genre a bit

Maybe he should do Splinter Cell. Sam Fisher is one dark NSA covert spy. It would be fitting to do a whole series.
