And now DavisDVD says there's trailers plus DVD-ROM stuff

http://www.davisdvd.com/bin/menus2.html

I sure would like a final answer here!

And 30 bucks is hella expensive for such a bare-bones dvd. Miramax is gonna rape all your wallets.  :D

Bare-bones? New features are still being announced, could turn out to be nothing but a bare bones dvd yet, I'm hoping so.

The fact that it's one disc shows we won't get anything special. Looking at Layback's link, the dvd will most probably resemble the first disc of Pulp and Jackie Brown; meaning a trvia track, some trailers and some dvd-rom shit. I think paying 30 bucks for that is a crime.

What about the music videos and making of? I agree with you that it isn't worth the money but it is shaping up to be a good dvd, not great but good.

The music videos aren't confirmed and I could really give a shit about them anyway. My only hope lies in a satisfying making-of featurette, even though it will probably be short and lame.

Short and lame? I'm guessing so, It'll probably be the 30 minute lame ass 'making of' they did for mtv. Free from any blood and violence.  :(

I wish the DVD cover would look like that. looks somehow like the typical region3-import DVD.

unfortunately that's just fanart

I knew that was fake the second I looked at it. And the Universal logo wasn't the thing to give it away either...

I'm just way too pissed that QT would let this happen.

Don't blame Quentin. Blame Miramax.

But couldn't Quentin have tried to do something if he moved his lazy ass and worked on the DVD himself?  I mean, come on man.  I respect him and all, but still.

well, of course Miramax sucks. And Quentin could've done something.

BUT!!!!
think about this: producing special features takes time. and a movie company doesnt have that time when it comes to releasing a DVD before everyone has it off the internet. so they release the movie no matter what, and in the meantime, they work on the REAL edition for the fans.
you got audio commentaries to produce, making-ofs, behind the scenes features, interviews to cut, subtitles to arrange, production notes to write, dvd-covers to design, and so son.. that takes time...

Lazy ass? Have you eaten shit or just fuckin a clown? Sorry, but Q.T. was working on Volume 2 while Miramax was doing the DVD. And just wait some months and then comes the big fat Special Edition with both movies in one package that Q.T. has announced and promised.

How many movies do you think, oh, let's say, Steven Spielberg makes in the course of six years?  More than two.  Don't get me wrong, QT's a genius.  But he's a lazy genius.
