What do the QT fans listen to?

I need to find me some new music. So just go crazy and post your favorite bands and song. Here’s my list of CURRENT favorite bands. The thing is when I really get into an artist, I tend to go a little nuts and I just have to hear every single one of their songs. And surprisingly I enjoy all the songs!

  • Yeah Yeah Yeahs

  • Amy Lee of Evanescence

  • The Ramones

  • MillaJ (A lot of her work you have to search on the internet. Seriously dudes, she can really sing!)

Search these songs, I look them up on myspace.

    *“Rocket Collecting”

  • “You Keep Me Here”

  • "Mezinka"

I love the 70s punk bands like: The Stooges, NY Dolls, The Clash, Stranglers.

The Pussycat Dolls baby !!!

Dick Dale

The Leather Nun

Johnny Cash

ZZ Top

Leonard Cohen

Tito and Tarantula

Chigon

The Blasters

Link Wray

I listen to a ton of music, so it's hard for me to say. In the summer (it's almost here!!) I listen to a lot of Canadian music, because it's my favourite music to have a BBQ, to drink to or chill on our roof to. So for now I'll say....

Sam Roberts (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCi17SEPgpc)
The Tragically Hip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUK8gzZ-CH0&feature=related)
Hey Rosetta (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8s4m6CB6Tg
Slowcoaster (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or3wMc9bLUM&feature=related)

What i listen to right now…

SOUNDTRACKS:

Of course I listen to QT soundtracks… you never know what wonderful song he is going to find and unearth for the most unexpected scene… like “oh, yeah, I remember that song!”… and then you HAVE to have the soundtrack.

SURF ROCK/FIFTIES ROCK:

I also LOVE surf music in general, and rock from the fifties:

Dick Dale and the Del-Tones

The Chantays

Link Wray and his Wraymen

Elvis Presley (Elvis rules!)

…and various other fifties songs and artists.

ROCK:

I’m not the hugest rock fan in general, although I can dig it sometimes.

No Doubt

Marilyn Manson

Korn

The White Stripes

Insane Clown Posse (though they could cross over into rap)

Metallica (I have to be in the right mood to like Metallica)

My Chemical Romance

Black Sabbath

… And tons more that I can’t think of, and am going to kick myself about later on.

RAP/HIP HOP:

I’m a huge fan of rap, but I’ll try to keep this as concise as possible:

Notorious B.I.G

Tupac Shakur

Eminem (mostly from Slim Shady LP to The Eminem Show, I never really could get into his music as much after that)

Snoop Dogg

Dr. Dre

Young Jeezy

Yung Joc

Jay-Z

Kanye West

Ice Cube

The Game

The Beastie Boys

T.I

Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz

Ludacris

Remy Ma

The Terror Squad

Missy Elliott

Lil Kim

Xzibit

DMX

Timbaland

Rihanna

Keri Hilson

Beyonce

The Black Eyed Peas

Fergie

Gwen Stefani (her crossover stuff)

Outkast

… And a huge number more that I can’t think of off the top of my head.

SOUL/R&B:

Another favorite of mine… I’ll just give some songs off the top of my head.

Dusty Springfield (Son of a Preacher Man!)

Aretha Franklin

The Supremes

Ray Charles (Hit the Road Jack!)

TECHNO/DANCE:

I’ll just list songs:

Skazi- Acelera

Pavo & Zany- 99.9

The White Stripes

Son House

The Ramones

Vivian Girls
