Taxi Driver. It’s the film IMO that got him noticed and turned him into a household name. Goodfellas is a pretty good one too though.
Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, King Of Comedy, Casino, Deer Hunter, can’t go wrong.

Did you forget that Robert De Niro had just won an oscar two years before Taxi Driver. It was The Godfather Part II that made him a household name.
Well, I’ve never been a huge Godfather fan, if I like any of them it would be the first one only. So, thats why I went with Taxi Driver, which btw you can never go wrong with.
First Taxi Driver and in close second is Goodfellas.
Casino and Raging Bull…
