2010 academy awards

My predictions:

BEST ACTOR: Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart)

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds)

BEST ACTRESS: Meryl Streep (Julia & Julia)

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Carey Mulligan (An Education)

BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY: Inglourious Basterds

BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY: The Hurt Locker

BEST DIRECTOR: James Cameron (Avatar)

BEST PICTURE: Avatar

Up In The Air will be left out in the blue, because it’s not a great picture.

I wouldn’t allow that !

And Avatar isn’t gonna win anything. Up In The Air might not be a great movie but it looks exactly like something that could win best picture, while Avatar doesn’t. (I have seen neither)

Avatar did win the Golden Globe though. Which means it’s very possible that Academy voters will see it in a similar light.

no way, as sad as that is, Avatar will win quite a few of those awards.

Yeah I can see Avatar winning some = ratings! Oscars is a joke anyway. Crash over BB Mountain, Slumdog winning last year, Marty winning (getting handed) an oscar for the Departed when he should of won for 2-4 other films, Gump over Pulp Fiction, etc.

At least they pull of a greater show every year.

The Academy established the Student Academy Awards in 1972 to support and encourage excellence in filmmaking at the collegiate level. Past Student Academy Award winners have gone on to receive 40 Oscar nominations and have won or shared seven awards. All deserved it .
