Cannes Coverage 2009

Going to Cannes to see IB?

If you do, please do me this favour: Then you have seen it, start this film’s “Complete Soundtrack” topic. I want to know the music for this movie.

Yes, I’ll be going to Cannes… because I’ve got all the money in the world, I can ditch the kids and I’ve got enough contacts in the industry to get me in to the screening…

That’s a no.

i am going to cannes with my father but i’m still not sure if we can go to see the movie or not.

does anyone know if it is for everyone who comes to the festival or just for pros???

I cant wait to see it!!

Of course not. You have to be invited as press or some high up shit like that. You can’t just buy a ticket to a screening.

You’re a liar. Mr. Bean not only got in without a ticket, he even got his unedited road movie to screen.

LOL! I can’t believe you saw that movie.

Why is the soundtrack such a mystery?!

It’s killing me softly!

Mr. Bean might be one of the funniest characters of all time in my opinion. When he put on that Nazi uniform and was practicing his Nazi manurisms, I damn near almost split my side.

Mr. Bean was funny in the early nineties when he had a half hour tv show…

I was just about to post that, haha. I never missed an episode of the Bean back then.

Anyway, I’m hoping The Playlist will catch the Basterds screening the week they’re over there. That’s the only review I need to read to know what IB is up to, so it’d be good to get it early at Cannes along with the first batch of reviews.

I <3 Rowen Atkinson… But yeah, Bean’s time has passed. Blackadder was DA SHIT also!

Was and will always be.

Didn’t know where to post this but apparently Castellari is going to Cannes… at the Film Market to promote his new movie: Carribean Basterds ! (with an E, yes.)

Haha. Sweet.

Wonder how long it’ll take for someone to make a porn movie and call it “Fuckin’ Basterds”, or “Cock-Suckin’ Basterds”

I love all of Castellari’s movies I’ve seen so far. If he makes a comeback I’ll sure keep an eye on what he still has to offer.

Cant wait to see Hong Kong Basterds

just about 3 more weeks to go!

Get the fuck out of here! Caribbean Basterds!? ;D

Do we have any posters or trailers for it?

May be there is a probability that i can go to cannes in 20 may but i am just wondering if i will be there; i can get a chance to see red carpet part of gala, some possible panel including tarantino or some signature day… Or these need all invitation, i won’t see anything remarkable in Cannes as a curious cinephile…

Thanks for the reponses…
