Edith Piaf is an absolute cliché for WWII movies set in France. I’m sick of hearing her songs everytime. Not that I don’t like Edith Piaf, but it’s cliché, it’s done and overdone. Do foreigners know any other French artists from this period ?

Tell you what ? Other French artists from this period ? Yves Montad for example who started as a music-hall singer with Piaf. And later in the 1950s there are famous singer like Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour.

Then i replace La Petit Monsieur Triste with something of Yves Montad on my list. I picked Escale becouse i liked it.
