Milk was a bad film. He went too mainstream. And Penn's performance in it was no different from his performance in I Am Sam.

About IB on German tv with words from QT and Waltz plus a few seconds of behind the scenes footage.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3VrgdGB7c0

If you can't hear what QT is saying, here's my rough translation from German: "I'm not one of those amatuer WW2 historians who know every general and battle. I'm a film expert. I know every movie about that period. I begin, like Alfred hitchcock, with a pretty good working knowledge of it."
"I wouldn't call my movie a farse, I would call it a comedy."
"I play with different genres in all my movies. I make kitchensink movies. There's everything in them BUT. I try to make about 5 movies with each movie."

Waltz: "If a Martian came to Earth and asked what cinema is, I would send him to see this film."
When Enkidu heard this pronouncement of Ishtar,
he wrenched off the Bull's hindquarter and flung it in her face:
"If I could only get at you I would do the same to you!
I would drape his innards over your arms!"

Fuck! I wish QT added Donnie's backstory into IB....

I don't know why Eli & QT talk about the whole Boston baseball signing scene when they are giving interviews, it's not even in the film.

I hope when IB comes out on Blueray/DVD, QT will extend IB to include Donnie's backstory, Shosanna/Mimeux scenes....and anything else he cut out of the final film.

Not sure I want this. Concerning Donnie, it would mean more Eli and so more risk of bad acting. Concerning Mimieux, I'm unhappy with the direction Maggie Cheung gave to her character. According to QT in French paper magazine Premiere, she thought Mimieux was a alcoholic always fond of Cognac and who limped due to a piece of shrapnel. She had imagined Mimieux as an orphan helper.

Once QT adds the Mimieux scene and/or Donnie scene in the deleted scenes of the DVD, I'm happy.

They gave away tickets on Q107.

I was there. Tarantino gave a pretty funny introduction and the film was good.

What did you think of the movie? IMAX? Was it jam packed and what were other peoples reactions like?

The Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill filmmaker was waving a small action figure of himself as fans greeted him on the red carpet at the premiere on Wednesday evening

I have no idea where to put this:

August 19th, 2009

Elvis hosts writer-director-producer Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction; Kill Bill, Volumes 1 and 2' Reservoir Dogs) to talk about his latest feature, Inglourious Basterds, starring Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz and Melanie Laurent.

Anyone who saw QT on Under the Influence or heard him and Elvis Mitchell discuss Death Proof back in '07 knows this shouldn't be missed.

Starting at 8 P.M. on August 14 Tarantino will be hosting Sky Movies and picking 6 of his favorite movies to talk about. They include There Will Be Blood, Taxi Driver, Psycho (remake), Sunshine,McCabe and Mrs Miller, and his own, Death Proof.
I assume that is UK time
