CSI: Grave Danger

The editor of CSIFiles.com, a fan site dedicated to the ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ series, wrote, that actor George Eads, who plays Nick Stokes on

the original ‘CSI,’ said yesterday that Quentin Tarantino might direct a ‘CSI’ episode soon:

CSI Files - Quentin Tarantino To Direct 'CSI' Episode?

Eads made his comments following the ‘CSI’ cast’s surprising win

at this year’s Screen Actors Guild awards.

‘CSI’ airs Thursdays at 9:00pm on the CBS television network. It

is currently the most popular show on American television,

regularly attracting up to 30 million viewers. The Jerry Bruckheimer-

produced show is well-known especially for its unique visual style

featuring strong colours and vivid effects sequences taking viewers

up close to the evidence.

That’s so cool. Revenge of the Sith and a QT-directed project both on the same day.

Cool, writing and directing… I wonder if there will be a trunk shot in there somewhere?

doooooooooooooooope!

wonder if David Caruso is gonna be smoking Red Apples 8)

David Caruso is not on the original CSI. He’s CSI Miami.

I wonder if Keitel is going to show up as the Wolf.  8)

well pardon me all the hell

David Caruso is hilarious in that. He never puts any emotion in his voice and is like so serious, but at the end of every episode he comforts some grieving child or mentally disabled individual. Can you think of anyone scarier to comfort you?

I really don’t like CSI, and so am upset that Tarantino is directing one. Perhaps he’s drawn to the blood and guts, I don’t know, because it certainly can’t be to the characters and drama. Each episode is so boring; someone’s died horribly, they gather the evidence, process it, and find out who did it, and the person confesses with no human interaction or mystery, at least in the ones I’ve seen.

its fascinating to see those forensics work, and William Petersen is a charming motherfucker

Add to it the George Szmanda, a pot-head turned lab-rat, a very old but still steamin Marge Hellenberger and then some fuzzy camerawork. You got a hit TV series

hehe

i like it

Quentin Tarantino has turned in a first draft of the script for the original CSI season finale. But he refused to say anything about the contents of the finale, besides confirming that it will put one of the members of Grissom’s team in a life-and-death situation.

Haha, the cast are gettin nervy, one of them may be fired…

Even here, the actors’ displeasure showed through. When asked if she thought the CSI character placed in danger will actually end up being killed, Jorja Fox said she didn’t anticipate that happening. “But all bets are off at this point,” she added. “I don’t think any of us felt we could get fired, and that happened. So who knows?”

Spoilers

LOS ANGELES, April 11: Quentin Tarantino has begun filming the season five finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which is set to air on CBS and CTV on May 19.

Filming began earlier this week at Santa Clarita Studios in California. The episode will also be shot on location in Las Vegas. Tarantino, whose credits include Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, came up with the idea for the episode, in which the life of one of the CSI team members is put in danger. The episode was penned by Anthony Zuiker, the creator/executive producer of CSI, Carol Mendelsohn, executive producer/showrunner, and Naren Shankar, executive producer.

Tarantino’s involvement came about after he met Zuiker at an awards show and expressed his love of the show. The CSI producers and cast then persuaded him to come on board for the finale.

“When he came in to talk to us, he told us this story about how he felt he had discovered the show when it first came on the air and he was an instant fan,” said Mendelsohn. “I mean, there’s Quentin Tarantino in our writers’ room. And he loves television É. He’s watched every TV movie, every TV show and he pitched out the first idea and we said, ‘You don’t have to go any further. It’s a great idea.’”

The episode will have more bugs and blood than usual, and Shankar notes, “It is much more of a thriller than we normally do.”

This is not Tarantino’s first foray into TV. In 1995 he directed an episode of ER and in 2002 and 2004 he appeared as a guest on Alias.

CSI: a little revealed… few spoliers…

Dunno if there are any CSI fans out there but I found this:

The CSI franchise is co-owned and co-produced by Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. and CBS Productions, in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. The CSI franchise is distributed worldwide, excluding the U.S., by Alliance Atlantis.

I don’t really watch CSI but I can’t wait to see this one.

At CSIFiles.com, they’ve just posted the first plot information

on ‘Grave Danger,’ the upcoming fifth-season ‘CSI’ finale

directed by Quentin Tarantino:

CSI Files - 'CSI' Season Finale Revealed

In the episode, main character Nick Stokes is kidnapped by someone with

an apparent grudge against the CSIs. By the time he wakes up again, he’s

trapped in a coffin, together with his loaded handgun and a tape recorder

with a message telling him it’s probably best to kill himself, as he’s

going to die anyway. There’s also a webcam in the coffin, which transmits

an image back to the CSI lab, allowing his colleagues to see him slowly

suffocate - but not providing any clues as to his whereabouts.

In a race against the clock, all CSI teams combine under the leadership

of Gil Grissom to find Nick. When they try to hack into the webcam, it’s

replaced by a countdown timer telling them to bring ransom to a warehouse

somewhere in Vegas. Grissom goes in alone, and encounters Nick’s kidnapper.

But he soon realises the man has no intention of letting Nick go, and has

instead hatched an explosive plan to kill both Grissom and himself…

‘Grave Danger’ was written by CSI showrunner Carol Mendelsohn, CSI creator

Anthony Zuiker, and executive producer Naren Shankar, based on a story

by Quentin Tarantino. The episode is scheduled to air on Wednesday the

19th of May. More plot information can be found at the following URL:
