[Vol 1] What negative shit have you heard about KBv1?

plus there’s swordplay in the Matrix

Black and white does not always artistic…matter o fact…why is it considered artistiC? Most black and white in movies look stupid.
Of course they are. Psycho, Raging Bull and Schlindler's List are probably the three worst movies ever made.

Staying on topic, I went with some friends to see the movie and there were mixed feelings. Some loved it, some hated it. The ones who hated it were boasting about how much "Bad Boys 2" kicked ass before we entered the theatre. That should explain everything. :)
How is it a rip off of The Matrix?? I’m all for the Matrix and I see it no ways how it’s a rip off.
The House of Blue Leaves Seaquence reminds me of Neo’s fight against the many Agent Smiths in Matrix Reloaded. If you watch the Hobl scene together with that scene from Matrix2, you’ll see Quentin has used lotsa choreography from this film.

Kill Bill was the best film I have seen in my life, I will see it the 3rd time today, but making refference to Matrix2 kinda stunned me, I simply didn’t expect it from QT

1.) The Matrix movies and Kill Bill had the same fight coreographer.

2.) When Reloaded came out, Kill Bill was already in post production. There’s no way QT was influenced by that scene. Lol.

3.) So you really think Reloaded featured the first fight sequence in movie history with a person beating the hell out of a bunch of guys? I have no choice but to laugh once again. You need to watch more movies.

Why are so many people quick to criticize other people’s opinions? This is a forum for all discussion. Anyway, not to get off the subject, but black and white shots can serve an artistic purpose, regardless of the artist’s original intent. The opening of the Bride getting shot would not have had the same impact if it were in color. The color of blood would have taken away the focus of the dialogue and the bride’s facial reactions, especially when she starts freaking out before he shoots her. And, while QT was censored by the MPAA, the excellent choreography of the fight scenes would have been reduced by all the color of red spurting everywhere. Plus, it made the blue-screen shilloette stand out even more, which was fucking brilliant!

Theres alot of dumb fuckin people out there that have no clue about movies or the history behind Kill Bill. Thats their loss I guess. If you dont know, then you dont know.

Matrix 1 was one of the movies that inspired QT to make Kill Bill. But The Crazy 88s are not inspired by Matrix Reloaded. They are inspired by a Japanese gang from a 60s film by Kenji Fukasaku called Black Lizard. And their suits are RESERVOIR DOGS SUITS (which came out 10 years before Matrix Reloaded). QT never even knew about that Agent Smiths Vs Neo scene until he saw the movie. And Kill Bills HOBL fight is 100X better than that bullshit Burly Brawl anyway.

Toothpick, I tend to agree with most of the stuff you post. But in this case I'm not quite sure. How could have the Matrix inspired QT if he had the whole "Kill Bill" concept in mind since 1994? Were you referring to a specific scene?

Well QT said that after seeing The Matrix 1, he was even more inspired to do an action/martial arts film. Remember he didnt finish the script until 2001. Matrix came out in 1999. The Matrix story and characters dont have anything to do with Kill Bill, but specifically the fight scenes he really liked.

1.) Really? Cool, I didn’t know that.

2.) Same here. Didn’t know it, I’m happier now, knowing that he didn’t rip it off.

3.) I do.

Wow, I can learn so much from you guys. This place is so cool. Kill Bill rocks so much, there’s no words to describe it.

Cool Tootpick, I never knew that.

That’s why we’re all here Buckethead, to learn more about movies. Welcome to the board by the way.

If i read a review and the reviewer says something about, the violence, or the “little” plot, i tend to understand why they dont like the movie. They just simply dont get it, something that some people just dont.

You limit yourself man.
are you out of your mind?!?!  you didnt like raging bull?  one of the best films ever!  you’re crazy!  if not cuz it a good fukin movie, you should enjoy robert deniro ganing like a few hundred poundS! ÂÂ
He wasn’t being serious man. Some guy commented earlier on “how dumb black and white movies look” (a comment which is really limited and silly), and so Scarface decided to point out how dumb the comment was by naming some of the best modern movies that use black and white. (This is not to mention the thousands of classic movies there are in black and white that came out before color and that are better than almost any movie that is in color).

And Schindler’s List is MUCH better than Raging Bull, but that is just me. I love 'em both. I doubt Kentucky-Fried has seen either, and I doubt he likes good classical Cinema.

have u seen Schindler’s Fist? that is a rare sequel that is better than the original
oic, thanx for the clarification.  and for the record, raging bull kicks the shit out of schindler’s list, yeah!
Nope, but to each his own.

And I appreciate the attemp Il_Buono, but in this context it isn’t all that funny. Schindler’s List is (like a QT movie) one of those rare things it isn’t cool to make fun of.

i’m serious, it’s a real movie (though not really a sequel
haha, soundz like some german fisting porn!
It is not funny Beaumont, many people have died from being fisted.

Nah, im just yankin your chain. For some documentaries on this subject, contact your local Adult Video Store.

What the hell are you guyz talking about this piece of art being based in the matrix? ??? That’s just plain stupid. The matrix waz supposed to be a gr8 movie, not this shitty comercial based triology. >:( The 1st movie was gr8, but the last 2 just sucked so bad. It’s just all about a stupid love story :-/ with lots of special effects… Every one has seen a fight in a movie, but nothing prepares you to the bloody impact that Kill Bill represents. It’s pure art! It has proved that no matter how much disgusting a movie can get ('cause Kill Bill can put you quite nauseated ;D), it can be a genious work of art!!! 8) And the inicial sequence… i just amazed my self as I stoped putting popcorn in my mouth and remained with my mouth opened… ;D

BEAUTIFUL

Well this is my opinion, w8ing for replys. Gr8 job, QT

From Portugal, Alph
