Damn I need to get an all region dvd player then go on a spree. Wish I new movies were so friggin cheap in europe earlier. :’( Btw Hung IMO you should get Shogun’s Shadow since you have Shogun Samurai. Best swordfights period, mixed with cheesy acting. I need to import Battle Royale one of these years. Probably have watched it 4 times on my computer in low quality. I’ve got to get Dolls. Sounds great. And of course I still need the 36 chambers. Why is the supposed best kung fu film so fn hard to find?

It’s one of those 101 dvd I didn’t list. But it’s still pretty high on my list.

This is probably the first and the last time ever Finland has a better dvd release than most other countries. 2 disc special edition featuring both versions of the film. Comes in a beautiful digipac. No english subs, though.

The most beautiful movie ever made. Though I’m sure some people will find it very boring.

It’s not hard to find these movies. It’s just hard to find good versions. I’m currently selling almost all of my Celestial Shaw Bros. dvds and getting french, german and australian releases instead (because they feature original mono sound, unlike Celestial). I hate it when I have to buy the same movies several times…

Dont buy JSA, just rent it. Trust me.

now that’s what I call customer distraction
actually JSA is an awesome film. but you’re right, i am not sure if I would put it into my collection. it’s more like a 1-time or 2-time watching thing

Well, than I can can buy it at least! Only have to know where and how I can buy it…

You can speak one one of those languages?
The problem is that getting Finnish dvds out of the country isn’t exactly easy. Other Nordic countries have the same release, but only the finnish version comes with the great digipac. The swedish version has awful cover art. And I’m not sure how the quality compares to other releases. I haven’t watched the dvd for a long time. Hmmm…I’ll probably watch the film again today. I’ll post some comments about the quality later.
