Favorite Horror Movies

Wait? Arnold is a Zombie in Twins?

Signs was one super-awesome movie. One of my all time favorites. I can’t believe you guys don’t like it… :’(

It’s ok. I liked it. The story just has a lot of holes in it.

Sighns for me was just something that hit everything scary for me. except for the water part. i understand how people hate it but at least for me it was scary as fuck. it is also one of my favorits but thanks to BadMotherFucker i now also love the evil dead movies.

Salem’s lot

The Exorcist

Rosemary’s Baby

The Omen

The Blair witch Project

Evil Dead

Chainsaw massacre

Night of the living dead

Cat People

Dead alive

Ringu

The church

on and on and on…

Dead Alive. No fucking way, although the first quarter was funny after that is gets lame. i am not such a huge fan of horror movies but that’s because none of them are scary, well only one but lets not get into that. Because none scare me it is better when they make me laugh or say “what the fucking shit”. Crappy horror movies that are found at blockbuster that were made with little to no movey are good.

About 2 years ago i rented this movie called ALIEN INVADERS, it had horrible CGI effects. All the aliens were on a track and half of the time you could see the bottom half of the alien which is just a pole. i thought it was way better than most horror movies
This little comic will make u realize how stupid Signs really is;

The movie "Signs" in four easy steps.
LOL! Sorry to all “Signs” fans; but that guy’s got a point!

Definitely The Shining
It’s ok. I liked it. The story just has a lot of holes in it.
Like what? The water? That is one small thing.

Not that the plot had a lot of holes, sorry, i worded that wrong. I just meant that some parts didn’t make much sense. And no, not just the water, read the comic again. There’s one per pannel.

I’m a huge fan of John Carpenter, so many of his films are some of my all time favourite films, no matter what genre. I haven’t seen much of the italian horror films and giallo, but I’m working on it. Here are some you missed:

The Fog

Prince of Darkness

They Live (allright, it’s debatable wether this is a real horror movie or not)

Bride of Chucky (hilarious!)

Oh, and Battlefield Earth. Yeah I know, it’s a sci-fi. But it was a really horrific experience for me.

Crap! I forgot about Re-Animator. You should really check that one out.

My personal favorites:

 • The Exorcist
 • The Shining (Kubrick version).
 • The Omen
 • Halloween
 • Night of the Living Dead
 • Return of the Living Dead
 • Stephen King’s “It”.
 • In The Mouth Of Madness
 • Evil Dead 2
 • Poltergeist
 • Psycho
 • A Nightmare on Elm Street
 • Carrie

Alex Black:

do u like em and whats ure favourite.

mine is "a nightmare on elms t. 1

Thenexttarantino:

i dont really like horror

the one horror movie i do like is the shining

Cap. Peachfuzz:

My favorite horror movie is:

The Original Texas Chainsaw Massecare.

PULP DOG

AlexBlack:

i thought it was overrated

Puck:

Pyscho

Birds

Silence of the Lambs

Night of the Living Dead

The Shining

I hate most horror movies, but I tend to like clausterphobic, pyschological movies.

Scarface:

There’s no way QT would do a horror movie like “The Shining”. I don’t imagine QT dealing with psychological horror. If he ever decides to do one, it will be a fun kickass movie full of black humor and over-the top-gore.

herbduck:

I know you guys probably won’t agree, but I think Scream was a pretty fucking good movie. The Shining is great too. I just watched Silence of the Lambs today which I enjoyed. Evil Dead is excellent. Cape Fear is amazing.

Horror films are good sometimes.

Laydback:

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Night of the Living Dead (196

The Shining

The Evil Dead

Dawn of the Dead

The Exorcist

Re-Animator

Black Christmas

The Thing

Zombie (1979)

Fright Night

Psycho (1960)

Suspiria

Poltergeist

Bullet:

I’m mainly a fan of splatter gore horror with no brains such as

Braindead (dead alive)

Bad taste

Bad Karma

Audition (Not splatter)

Cannibal Holocaust (not horror but very shocking)

Zombie

The Beyond

Day of the Dead

28 Days later

Dawn of the dead

Night of the living dead

Beyond the Limits

Last house on dead end street

House on the edge of the park

Red Room

Il Buono:

From what i’ve seen from Polanski, his “realistic horror” films are probably some of the scariest films out there and I really need to see The Tenant and Knife in the Water.

1.Repulsion (this movie will FREAK you out) *

The Vanishing (Greatest. Ending. Ever.) *

The Birds (some of it is outdated, but I love the apocalyptic feel to it and the ambiguous ending)

The Thing (a film that actually manages to combine gore and tension and make them work together; favorite John Carpenter flick)

The Fog

Blair Witch Project *

28 Days Later (more of a social commentary with zombies)

Dawn of the Dead

Suspiria

Deep Red *

Curse * (very unnerving)

The Ring *

Communion (had to turn it off as a kid it was so scary) *

Signs

Ringu

Psycho

Fright Night

*these movies actually scared me

Il Buono:

anyone heard of this movie called Session 9? it was kind of a Blair Witch rip off but it had some scary moments and was pretty cool

dead man:

is session 9 the cheap ass moive that is in the old insane asilame? that movie was pretty weird

Il Buono:

yeah…it’s not really cheap, it’s just that it was filmed with Hi-Def cameras so it looks kindof like a student film

Mr Toothpick:

Shining ruled

Texas Chainsaw Massacre ( original and remake )

All the Nightmare on Elm Street films ( including F vs J )

Last House on the Left ( VERY fucked up, great ending )

Dawn of the Dead

Evil Dead ( all three )

and

a low budget horror movie, that is available at Hollywood Video and probably other places, called Slashers. It’s a horror movie about a serial killer reality game show that starts in Japan and the movie is based on the American version of the reality series Slashers. It’s awesome you have to see it.

Bullet:

I wouldn’t call this horror but I’d put it in the same area as what Tskuamoto does, this one film I caught called Ice From the Sun was a really trippy, scary and surreal film about the end of the world. If it was done with a bigger budget then the film would’ve been legendary.

Bexi:

I really loved ‘My little eye’, I thought that it was so clever. The scariest film I’ve seen though is ‘the texas chainsaw massacre’ (The new version, I haven’t seen the old one) I actually cried!

Bullet:

Please, spare us of your ignorance of horror films. That remake blew btw.

Il Buono:
