yeah the hallway scene doesnt really remind me of anything else i have seen, and sure directors dont always need to steal stuff and dont have to, but i dont blame directors for including homages or taking scenes intended to remind of the viewer of that other film.

The bond series are kinda like the comics theres such a ritch wealth of background material, previous works that redoing scenes or themes is a good thing and it appeals to older fans I don’t really think it can be called stealing. Similarly one can draw materials from asian cinema or other cinema as the great filmmakers do and why should that be called stealing moreover how can people own fucking ideas? Its ridiculous its come to the point where you really have to watch what you write because all these people own ideas, themes and even sequences of words you try and write a story about anyone with a code name of 007 and you fucked! Thought that’s not the best example.
With bond, it has come to the point i think where if they dont homage the old films in it, i feel a little let down because the original films were so great and i think Bond is heading the way of the stock standard action film. I was really hanging out for that QT casino royale, but i guess now i am waiting for the campbell casino royale.

long story cut short, nothing came of it. Martin campbell is now doing ‘Casino Royale’.
oh man… that would have been so cool… a bond that stands up to the classics in the series!
