It looks like Shrek, and the only thing I like about Shrek is to see my girlfriend’s enthusiasm when she speaks about it.

This is still not as dark as I want to see an Alice film to be. Hopefully one day.
I hate how they showed so much of Johnny Depp and not enough of the rest. Shit he’s just becoming Tim Burton’s cash cow. There’s nothing wrong with casting favourites in all your movies (kinda like QT does), but why does Burton make every character Depp plays so similar?
The only Burton movies I’ve really enjoyed him in were Ed Wood and Sleepy Hollow.
I just really hope this movie is gonna be good. The Alice series is my FAVE childhood story. I get excited for every remake or adaption, but the teaser trailer disappointed me a little. I wanted to see more of Alice.

I never really liked Shrek as much as everyone else does…
I didn’t really see any similarities to Shrek. Reminded me more of the Narnia movies.
Johnny Depp is not as wild and crazy as the original Mad Hatter, hope he don’t fuck that part up. On the other hand, they’re trying to make him (in a weird way) romantic, because hes supposed to have a crush on Alice, so if he was too insane I guess it would be too weird for him to like her.

It would be better in the style of Narnia, rather than Shrek 
Nobody would do a good enough job to make Alice into a movie, but if there is just one guy who might come close it would be Tim Burton. Very psyched to see this. 
Only concern is mixing Alice in Wonderland and Through the looking Glass. I am just hoping for a fun ride though.
Apparently the people behind the comic book series Return to Wonderland (very dark, disturbing take on the Alice mythos) are attempting to get a studio behind doing a film adaptation. It’s still technically not Alice in Wonderland though. It takes place years later. Alice has gotten married and had two kids. Over the years she’s gone bat shit crazy to the point of near comatose and it’s her daughter who’s sucked into Wonderland this time. Everyone in Wonderland is pretty much an evil and sadistic version from the original.
I really doubt any studio’s gonna have the stones to make something like that though. It’s almost like doing a remake of Wizard of Oz where those little midgets try to gang rape Dorothy but the Lion shows up and rips them all to shreds.
