Re: Django Unchained review

Haven't posted in here for a while! Can't wait for Django Unchained, I'm going to watch it next week. I know very little about it, so going in with quite an open mind. Hopefully it's better than Inglourious Basterds! :)

Re: QTs New Film: DJANGO UNCHAINED (THE "SOUTHERN")

I really hope Omar Doom, Eli Roth, or any of QT's other mates - who bring fuck all to a film if not serve to weaken it - aren't in Django Unchained. For me, the integrity of IB (and DP) was tarnished by having jokers like those two in them. It did used to be the case that QT chose the RIGHT actors f...

Re: Sally Menke, Tarantino's Editor, found dead

QT's films are never going to be the same again. I think she was the best editor I've seen. I always marvel at her editing when I watch a QT film, and she gets better with each one. This is such a big loss :(

ahhhh Ify must be crying somewhere.. .. that's still valid ;D Again refereeing errors everyday :-\ Yeah... Even though I haven't seen a good England performance in YEARS, even though I knew that all those great players can't play well together for England, the manner of their exit was still...

Re: do you watch football? (soccer)

Well that was a MUCH better game by England. Really proud of all of our players. Should have won by 3-4 goals which is my only worry. But England are through!! And so are the Americans, lol. Last minute winner by Landon Donovan. Crazy stuff. I've liked Spain's, Brazil's and Argentina's football so f...

Re: do you watch football? (soccer)

I thought England had it bad, buy my my did France have problems. It's pretty embarassing. England have had such a shit start to the World Cup too. They played "ok" against USA and only managed a 1-1 draw. And then put it probably the worst performance I have seen not just from any team in the World...

i don't understand facebook at all! I used to have a myspace, but i deleted that shit. Twitter is pretty decent, you can get the news right away, and celebrities plug their shit all the time. Pretty neat. But what is up with Jim Carrey? Is it just me or are his tweets rather depressing? I wouldn't ...

Re: 2010 - Track Your Films

But IMDB ratings is shit because not everyone that votes has seen EVERY SINGLE FILM IN HISTORY, so the fanboys for Lord of the Rings have never seen for example The Third Man. Millions of people voted for Lord of the Rings but if only 2 people vote for the Third Man and one asshole gives it a bad s...

Re: 2010 - Track Your Films

It's easy to like it, and many people does. But that doesn't mean people think it's the best movie ever made, for it is most definitely not. I think it is mediocre at best. This isn't about whether it's the best movie ever made, but it's definitely one of the best movies ever made. The fact that so...

Re: 2010 - Track Your Films

I never understood the whole holy thing about Shawshank. It's an alright movie and that's all. The Green Mile, same director, also adpated from a Stephen King novel, was much more powerfull to me. So I now know 3 people on this forum that don't like it. ;D Crazy EDIT: And I know this isn't really T...

Re: Your Top 50 Films of All Time

All American films too? Look again. Even if they were all-American, what's wrong with that? Well first didn't know it was "favs" and not "best" (whatever that difference means). Second, the fact that you think not one non-American film is better than Fight Club or Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom M...

Re: 2010 - Track Your Films

I always thought 2001 was one, if not Kubrick's weakest and overly-hyped film. Was it also you that said The Shawshank Redemption was crap/overrated? I remember writing a huge response to that comment only for my computer to crash, and I lost it all. I would have re-typed it all, but I was knee-dee...

A while later, I couldn't stop thinking about some of the scenes in it (like the opening credit sequence ...

I think I read somewhere that there's an alternate ending for True Romance where Clarence gets killed and there's no child named Elvis at the end. I don't know which one I would have preferred, because now I got used to that kind of cheesy ending, and the Alabama's speech "Amid the chaos of that da...

Death Proof (rewatch) - 9/10 Although when I first watched this I noticed how it was probably his most personal film, I noticed this even more this latest time of watching it. I think it's because I can relate to those aspects a lot more now having experienced many similar things. I think it's great...

I corrected the topic title. Here are my Top 50 Films of All Time. I have put them into 3 leagues in order. With the exception of the first three films in league 1, there is no particular order in each league. League 1: 1. Pulp Fiction 2. Kill Bill 3. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 4. The Godfather ...

Ok, this isn't really QT trivia, I just didn't know where else to put it and didn't want to make a new thread. Basically, when I watched Death Proof yesterday and noticed that Jungle Julia says she's upset about I think it's Chris Simonson when he doesn't call her on her birthday or something. I can...

Maybe we should go in search of Quentin, I think that's better than Hell. :P ;D Nice one. He was just at the BAFTAs and you didn't bother to go down to London. He was in Austin this month, got himself granted the title of "honorary Texan", and I didn't know about it til it was over. Neither one of ...
