Re: Tarantino-Influenced Films

Ahah, I hate that too, titles in bold are a bit cheap.

Anyway, classics but always very Tarantino-esque, every Guy Richie movies, especially his first two features.

Btw I think we already had a topic answering that question - if I find it, I'll merge both topics.

Re: 2010 - Track Your Films

I also think it's the best movie of the year but I haven't seen a lot. Since I arrived in Italy I realized that France wasn't all that bad when it comes to going to the theaters...that's how bad it is here in Italy. I still haven't found a theater that plays movies in Original Version, they dub eve...

Re: Un peu tout..

What does "Un peu tout" mean? And is it pronounced "uun poo tout" in English? It's the same kind of thread as "Talk whatever". "Un peu tout" means "a little bit of everything/anything". Ecrire un bouquin sur les teen movies US? C'est trop cool comme projet! Déjà c'est un bouquin qui m'intéresserait...

I took too much time to change my password and log in again. I was too lazy to abandon my old one. And I feel we lost even more users with this sudden change.

That's gonna be so weird with a new editor but I was even more chocked to learn she was found dead. She was so young and it's such unpredictable death... I still can't believe it.

I never quite like Alice. It's not bad but I don't feel much of the Scorsese touch... A bit too classic maybe.

Re: David Fincher's The Social Network

Plus the production decided not to promote the movie on Facebook or Myspace, didn't they ? So that the audience wouldn't take it for another geek movie or wouldn't think it's been paid by Facebook itself to promote the site.

Re: do you watch football? (soccer)

We do have bowlings but not much "clubs" or "teams", you know. Like in the US. It's pretty much people coming to play in family or between friends. I love bowling too, though I don't play it much.

Andrew Garfield and Jesse Eisenberg = awesome movies ! These two young actors are reallt good, you shouldn't underestimate them. Re: 2010 - Track Your Films

Joseph Gordon Levit and Ellen Page were awesome. DiCaprio aswell but you expect it. Nolan is always very good for complex narative, innovative visuals. I really like the movie. Plus this year sucks in terms of movies, I don't even know what to expect around september-december. Shutter Island and Inc...

Re: do you watch football? (soccer)

There are university teams but if you play volleyball with beginners, it's not fun at all. And city teams in Paris are all for competition, not fun.

Your kid might be interested later in sports. Watching movies and doing sport is not impossible, I did it during my whole childhood.

Re: do you watch football? (soccer)

I was proposed to enter harder competition with volleyball too. I've always played for real competition, I love that but not when it takes all your life cause I didn't want to become a real professional or whatever. We haven't any baseball teams here, or it's really rare, nothing compared to real US...

He wrote Life Aquatic and Mr Fox. And The Squid and the Whale was very much influenced by his life (two parents writers, the mom splitting with the husband, blabla). I think Greenberg is much more influenced by Mumblecore, the indie NYC Cassavetes-influenced movement. Noah Baumbach loves Cassavetes ...

Yeah, I played with boys as long as I could, but at 12, you're not "allowed" to be a mixed teams anymore. So I took a test to enter a very good girl team but all this hard-competition-no-social-life scared me. I was too young, to stop having some free time (8 hours of training every week, is that a ...

Re: do you watch football? (soccer)

Depends your level and depends how hard you train this summer. You won't become an excellent player if you've never played for real before but at least, you can get an average level to pass the exam and get into the soccer team from your highscool. I used to play in a boy football team and I was the...

Yeah, Germany really deserved to go to the finale. They have played the best this World Cup. You don't like Spain?
