El Rey Network

Anybody else got this channel? My TV's mostly been locked on it ever since it's debut. I remain surprised at ALL the movies the channel's been able to show.

The trailer's been getting pulled down from various sites at the moment. We'll see how long this one lasts:

^Hey! It's the "Minnesota Clay" saloon! Wonder if there's going to be other nods and easter eggs hidden around like that.

....And of course, Django meeting Django...

Re: QTs New Film: DJANGO UNCHAINED (THE "SOUTHERN")

I really hope Omar Doom, Eli Roth, or any of QT's other mates - who bring fuck all to a film if not serve to weaken it - aren't in Django Unchained. For me, the integrity of IB (and DP) was tarnished by having jokers like those two in them. It did used to be the case that QT chose the RIGHT actors ...

What about Ennio Morricone? Anybody heard something? I hope that him and Quentin can make this work this time! Maybe not a full score from Morricone, but more tracks/snippets from past soundtracks are a sure bet. A reminder on how he feels about composers scoring his whole film (Skip to 2:00) http:...

Re: Location and production news

Man, this is such a trip how a lot of QT's movies seem to keep landing in my past hometowns. Victorville for Kill Bill (Volume 2) and now Mammoth for Django (Lived there for about 7 years) I also lived in Big Pine for a few years (Two towns north of Lone Pine) Unfortunately, I'm too far north to go ...

Yeah, now I really see the connection between this scene and Reservoir Dogs. Instead of "Who shot Nice Guy Eddie?", It's "Who was Erik aiming at?"

This might have been covered before, but I wanted to await the DVD (Instant replay/Slo-Mo) for confirmation. Needless to say, I'm still confused. don't mean to complain but the DVD special features suck. No commentary no good features - nothing! To be fair, at least the special features are out of the ordinary compared to other mainstream DVD releases: -Japanese trailer(!) -Outtake reel (Non-bloopers) -Fake film, "Nation's Pride" in it's ent...

Well, I'm not 100% sure, but I don't remember hearing that "Stuntman Mike" cry of pain being inserted on that bloke who goes shooting out of the balcony outside the cinema when the theater's burning to the ground. Don't forget, the Wilhem scream was added to the DVD release of Death Proof during the...

I'll pick this up this weekend after I get paid....But it's gonna have to go under the tree til the 25th. :-\

Thanks for all the reactions, Iff. I remembered that youtube clip and thought that music was just supposed to be a temp track for that scene, but it's actually in the movie(?!?) I guess "L'arena" now joins "Strawberry Letter #23" for repeated music in QT films. It's also good to hear how QT's wings ...
